About Me
I’m a 44-year-old independent journalist based in Lexington, Kentucky. For the past five years I’ve worked as a DoorDash driver, which has put me on the streets daily and given me firsthand exposure to what’s happening in the community in real time.
I’m into mini trucks and lowriders and have always been drawn to car culture, street life, and the people who actually live with the consequences of public policy and public safety decisions. That perspective shapes how I approach reporting—grounded, direct, and focused on what residents see and experience, not just what institutions say.
Through Ole Gerg Media, I document local news, emergency response, and government accountability with an emphasis on transparency, public records, and firsthand observation.
